Meet the Panelists

DR. AMY TROUT

Dr. Amy Trout earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in 1994. In 1998 she earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 2000. Following her master’s degree, Dr. Trout earned a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in 2001. She started her career as a consultant and from 1988 to the present has consulted for over 20 organizations including churches, community agencies, and a political think tank.

Dr. Trout has also given over 100 presentations to varying organizations and has been published over 20 times. She has been a member or on the board for 10 organizations in the past and is currently a board member for Guardian Ad Litem Foundation and is the board president for Cornerstone Consultants, Inc. She has also been a participant or member of eight professional organizations and is still currently a member of the Christian Association of Psychological Studies.

Over the years, Dr. Trout’s outstanding work has earned her many awards and honors including Magna cum Laude from Arizona State University, she was a scholarship recipient from Wheaton College, Faculty Grant Recipient (Substance Abuse Program Evaluation) from Regent University, Gilman Grant Recipient (Substance Abuse Program Evaluation) from the Mychal Foundation, and Faculty Grant Recipient (Needs Assessment in U.S. Churches) from Regent University.

Currently, Dr. Trout holds four positions at three different organizations. She is the director at Cornerstone Consultants Inc., which is a nonprofit counseling and consultation center in Cape Coral. She is a program director and associate professor for the master’s Human Services Counseling Program at Regent University in Virginia Beach and lastly, she is an associate professor at Regent University.
