Meet the Panelists


Master Sergeant Jennifer Matlock earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Abnormal Psychology from International College. Sergeant Matlock has been serving the Cape Coral Police Department since 1997. She has supervised the Marine Unit, Police Volunteer Unit, School Crossing Guards, Aviation, and the School Resource Officers in the Special Operations Bureau. She was promoted in 2007 and was assigned as a Marine Officer, School Resource Officer, and a Detective in the Professional Standards Bureau and is currently assigned to the Patrol Bureau.

Sergeant Matlock has earned many awards and recognitions over the years for excellent service. In 2010 she was awarded CIT Officer of the Year from Lee County NAMI for her dedication and hard work to NAMI and the Community. In 2015, she was awarded an Outstanding Volunteer Service Award for her services to NAMI for her devotion to Crisis Intervention training in Lee County. She was also awarded a Maritime Service Award from the Lee County Marine Task Force for her hard work and commitment to the program in 2016.
